On the shore of St. André, on the northwestern part of the French island of La Réunion, a large piece of wreckage was found that belonged to a Boeing 777.
The large metal part was found by people cleaning up the shoreline of the island at the Bois Rouge pond. La Réunion is located about 660 km to the east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. The part number match those of a right hand flaperon of a Boeing 777. This fuels the suspicion that the part belonged to the missing flight MH370, a Boeing 777 operated by Malaysia Airlines that went missing over the Indian Ocean in March 2014.
