The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsiya, reported that the Air Operator Certificates of RusJet Aircompany has been revoked due to safety issues.

The decision to revoke the AOC was made due to unacceptable gross violations of standard operating procedures that have led to a serious incident.

On January 23, 2015 the crew of a RusJet Yakovlev 42 attempted a flapless takeoff from Irkutsk Airport because of incomplete pre-flight checks. Rosaviatsiya notes that errors like this have caused serious aircraft accidents.

After the incident Rosaviatsiya held an unscheduled inspection of the charter airline, the results of which revealed violations in the organization of flight operations, including a lack of control over the implementation of standard operating procedures.

The Federal Air Transport Agency thus decided to suspend the air operator certificate of RusJet from February 18, 2015.
