The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has limited the Air Operators Certificates (AOC) of several airlines for violating safety regulations.

CAAN limited the operations of Sita Air and Air Kasthamandap to cargo flights only because the airlines amongst others did not have enhanced ground proximity warning systems installed.

Simrik Airlines has been banned from IFR flights with the AOC being extended for five months.
