Sudan CAA grounds Sudan Airways over safety issues
22 June 2008

The Sudanese CAA has grounded national carrier Sudan Airways because it says the airline does not meet international standards.
The decision comes less than two weeks after a Sudan Airways Airbus A310 crashed on landing at Khartoum Airport.
But the CAA said in a statement that the decision had nothing to do with the accident and that the airline had failed to take measures put in place by the authority in May. (AFP)
