AFCAC: Africa to tackle aviation safety

Publicly naming unsafe destinations, grounding aircraft and funding airlines to buy newer rather than older aeroplanes are just some of the urgent steps to be taken this year to improve aviation safety over Africa. There was a growing concern internationally about the safety of civil aviation in Africa, African Union`s African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) president Tshepo Peege, said at a press conference in Pretoria.
