Norwegian DHC-8 suffers gear collapse on landing in high winds
1 May 2005

A Wideroe flight from Tromsø suffered a right-hand main gear collapse on landing at Hammerfest, Norway. The DHC-8-100, with 27 passengers and a crew of three on board, came to a stop just 20 meters away from a jet fuel pumping station. The accident will usher in new limits on landings when winds are high. (Aftenposten)
